Vain man holds bonfire

I'm kind of a glass half empty guy most of the time, but this is a bit much.
A second hand bookseller in Missouri wanted to thin out his stock and found no takers, so naturally he "began burning his books in protest of what he sees as society's diminishing support for the printed word."
When things get tough for bookstores, it's not a good idea to blame the world at large.
It makes you look silly.
