Slate has all the goods on the newly named U.S poet laueate Charles Simic.
Silly us, we returned his Collected Poems a couple months ago, and now are getting them back.
I confess, I'm not particularly up on Simic, but some of the cool kids (nice one, Erina) swoon over him.
Speaking of swooning, one of my favourite writers dropped by yesterday.
I never get tired of praising Alayna's book.
And now, back to the porch.

Good idea to get the book on loan. It's $30 retail. But I coughed it up gladly. A remarkable poet.
