The Globe has a nice profile of first time novelist Steven Hall.
Raw Shark Texts has been getting some good attention and appears to be conquering the planet in an oddball book finds a home kind of way.
Much was made of what he spent a chunk of his newfound (relative) wealth on and his blowing off Nicole Kidman, who called the author, "to tell him how much she liked it and wouldn't he please consider changing the lead character to a woman so she could play it in the movie version she wanted her production company to make."
Gotta respect that, although I think I could say no to Nicole Kidman pretty easily.
Movie stars' production companies can butcher original scripts all they like.
Please don't fuck with novels.
