In the Washington Post, Stephen Amidon, who wrote a beauty a few years ago, weighs in on Richard Price.
He's not as breathless as others, and I think rightly so.
The pleasure in Richard Price's books tend to reveal themselves a bit more slowly, and for what it's worth, every review of Lush Life goes a long way to mention how right the dialogue is.
Again, rightly so.
